Director of
Building and Facilities
The role of
the Director of Building and Facilities is to develop a building plan in
conjunction with the executive to house the newly formed SPCA and shelter its
stray and abandoned pets. Work with the
architect/draftsman/engineers to complete the design. Work with the contractor to ensure buildings
progress. To report back to the board on all progress and concerns. To form a committee and come up with a plan
to approach contractors, tradesman and lumber yards etc. to donate time and or
materials to the cause.
The job of the Director of Building and Facilities is to:

Prepare
building plan to be submitted to board then to draftsman/architect….then
engineer once plans completed.
·
Interview
contractors and submit recommendations to the board.
·
Prepare
budgets for cost of building and bring it to the board/executive.
·
Compile
list of potential in kind donors of materials and services. Form committee to
develop a plan, on how to approach and convince these individuals of the
advantages of donating their materials, services and time.
·
Oversee
all aspects of the building of the shelter and make a monthly report on
progress and issues to the board.
